Bawjiase Rural Bank donates equipment to clinic

Awutu Bawjiase (C/R), Aug 28, GNA – the Awutu Bawjiase Area Rural Bank has assured the people in the area that it would continue to support the Bawjiase Government Clinic.

The facility serves as the first major health delivery point of call for about 4,000 people in and around Bajiase as well as Awutu Mankesim Traditional Area who are mostly farmers. Mr Emmanuel Kofi Osei, Chiarman of the bank Board of Directors, said this when he and other members of the board visited the clinic. The bank recently donated a set of laboratory equipment worth about GHS 8000 to help the hospital improve it services to the people. People who need laboratory services travel either to Agona Swedru or Winnieba hospitals.

The equipment the bank had donated to the clinic included microscope, photo colorimeter, centrifuge, extension boards, a refrigerator, ESR stand and tube as well as chemicals. He praised workers of the clinic for their commitment and urged them to keep it up. 28 Aug 09
