‘Don’t Spend All the Money’

The Minister for Presidential Affairs (Chief of Staff) Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and Nana Ato Dadzie have initiated moves to have all knotty issues regarding the End-of-Service Benefits to ex-government appointees amicably settled.

As part of the peaceful resolution to the issue, the Chief of Staff has written to the Controller and Accountant-General to convene a meeting to that effect.

Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey who disclosed this in an interview with “Evening News” in Accra today confirmed that the Accountant- General had served him with the details of how much the beneficiaries of the ESB should refund.

He said in the interim he had politely asked Nana Ato Dadzie to inform those requested to make refunds to government chest not to spend all the monies since they were likely to be asked to pay back within a certain deadline.
