Fault detected on moving aircraft

Accra, Aug 17, GNA – A Delta Airline flight was on Monday morning cancelled at the Kotoka International Airport, following a technical hitch.

The aircraft, a Boeng 747-400 carrying 241 passengers, was en route to the United States of America.

Briefing journalists on the incident, officials at the airport said whilst taxing, signal from the panel of the aircraft indicated a technical fault, compelling the pilot to bring the aircraft to a halt. There were no casualties and arrangements were being made to fly the passengers to their destinations.

Passengers without any means of accommodation in Accra were sent to hotels and the fault was being investigated.
