Tuobodom court jails 22-year-old

Tuobodom (B/A), Aug. 14, GNA – A magistrate court at Tuobodom in Techiman Municipality has sentenced a 22-year-old unemployed to 18 months and 24 months imprisonment in hard labour to run concurrently for unlawful entry and stealing.

Fusani Adams pleaded guilty to the two counts. He was charged with stealing a bag containing four trousers, a pair of sandals and GHC 150, the property of Mr Alhassan Salia. Sergeant David Alhassan told the court that on June 05 Adams sneaked into the room of Mr Salia, who was asleep, and made away with the items.

On June six Adams, who was wearing the stolen sandals at Techiman Central Market, took to his heels leaving the sandals behind when he saw Mr Salia.

Mr Salia took the sandals and made a report to the police. On August 08, Mr Salia spotted Adams at the Techiman/Wa lorry station and with the help of some people arrested him and handed him over to the police.
