Politics Presiding Member Kwahu West Assembly elects Presiding Member

Nkawkaw, July 29, GNA – The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly on Wednesday reelected Mr Agyenim Boateng as the Presiding Member for a second term. He polled 19 votes out of the 25 votes cast representing 80 percent while his only challenger, Mr Justice Kwasi Tettey, a government appointee, had six votes. Mr Boateng thanked the assembly members and gave the assurance that he would co-operate with all to ensure rapid development of the municipality. Mr Alex Somoah, the Municipal Chief Executive, commended the assembly members for re-electing Mr Boateng to lead the assembly and called for co-operation of all assembly members to enhance development in the municipality. 29 July 09
