GPRTU appeals to government to repair the Nsuta-Boposo road

Nsuta, (A/R), July 28, GNA – Mr Mohammed Aboagye, Vice Chairman of the Boposo Branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), has appealed to the Ghana Highway Authority to repair the five-kilometre Nsuta-Boposo road in the Sekyere Central District. He made the appeal after members had spent more than three hours to improve on the worst sections of the road.

Mr Aboagye said they had from time to time used sand to fill pot-holes on the road but any time it rained it was washed away. He said it was becoming increasingly dangerous and urged the authorities to repair it to avoid any accident and loss of lives. Mr Aboagye thanked the government for the resumption of tarring the seven kilometres Boposo-Wiaso road, awarded on contract by the previous government.

He said it was his hope that every support would be given to the contractors for the early completion of the project. 28 July 09
