Attorney-General to speak on intellectual, property at Editors Forum

Accra, July 22, GNA – The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mrs Betty Mould-Iddrisu, will share her views on journalists and intellectual property at a symposium being organised by the Editors Forum, Ghana (EFG) on Thursday.

A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by Ms Ajoa Yeboah-Afari, Chairperson of the EFG, said Mrs Mould-Iddrisu would give the keynote address at the symposium on ‘The rights and responsibilities of the media under the Copyright Law” at the Ghana International Press Centre at 0930 hours.

Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu was Ghana’s Copyright Administrator before she went to work at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London as the Head of the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Division. Prior to that she also worked at Justice Ministry where she headed the Industrial Property Law Division. Other speakers at the symposium are Mr Bernard Bosumprah, the Copyright Administrator and Mr Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, General Manager (Newspapers) of the Graphic Communications Group. It will be chaired by the Chairman of the National Media Commission, Mr. Paul Adu-Gyamfi. The EFG is a grouping of senior editorial executives and media educators working to promote high professional standards, notably through peer reviewing. It is affiliated to the GJA. 22 July 09
