Chiefs asked to be agents of development

Abokobi (G/A), June 8, GNA- Mr John Kwao Sackey, Ga East Municipal Chief, at the weekend, called on chiefs in the municipality to foster unity of purpose in order to facilitate development. He said unity played a very important role in the socio-economic development of every nation.

Mr Sackey, who made the call during a meeting with the chiefs at Abokobi, assured them of government’s commitment to offer them the necessary support to ensure the protection of lives and property in their localities.

Nii Nikoi Jonas, Chief of Nkwantanang, appealed to the Municipal Assembly to provide the community with potable water, toilet facilities, street lights and help to curb armed robbery. He asked the assembly to provide proper lay out for lands at Agbogba and Nkwantanang and help to clear the heap of refuse, which had engulfed the community.
