Chirano Gold Mines donates to Otumfuo Education Fund

Kumasi (Ash), May 12, GNA- The management of Chirano Gold Mines at Sefwi-Chirano in the Western Region at the weekend donated an amount of GH¢5000.00 to the Otumfuo Education Fund. Mr John Seaward, General Manager of the mine, who made the donation at a ceremony at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, said the company was proud to contribute towards the education fund. He said the benefits of the fund were vital to the future well-being of all Ghanaians and that it is also one of the many programmes by the Asantehene, which exemplifies his inspirational leadership over the last ten years.

He congratulated the Asantehene on his tenth anniversary. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, expressed his sincere appreciation to the company for their contribution towards the fund. He called for a healthy relation between management and the workers to enable the company to operate in an atmosphere of peace and understanding. 12 May 09
