Amansie West Assembly endorses President’s nominee

(Credit A. Osei-Wusu, S/No344) Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), May 6, GNA – The Amansie West District Assembly has endorsed Mr Charles Oti-Prempeh as the District Chief Executive. Mr Oti-Prempeh polled 46 votes out of 69 total votes cast, thus securing the two-thirds votes.

Mr James Asafo-Akowua was also elected the Presiding member when he polled 63 votes out of the 69 votes cast. Addressing the assembly after the elections, Madam Anima Wilson, Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, thanked the assembly members for endorsing Mr Oti-Prempeh and appealed to chiefs and the people in the district to support him to deliver.

The new DCE said it was important for the people to put their political leanings behind them and work assiduously towards bringing more developments to the area.
