Management of Kick Malaria Out of Africa congratulates Asantehene

Accra, April 27, GNA – The management of Kick Malaria Out of Africa, an Accra-based NGO has congratulated Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene on the 10th anniversary celebration of his ascension to the Golden Stool.

A statement issued in Accra on Monday and signed by Mr Kwabena Osei-Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer, commended the Asantehene for his tireless efforts to promote peace, stability, good governance and national development.

It expressed appreciation to the Asantehene for devoting resources and time to promote peace, education and development not only in Asanteman but the entire nation, adding “this shows that he is not only a traditional ruler but a statesman”.

The statement said the establishment of Otumfuo’s Educational Fund was one of the greatest achievements of Asantehene that had brought benefits to many brilliant but deprived students to continue their education and enabled many educational institutions to improve their infrastructure.

It said many traditional rulers had taken a cue from the

Otumfuo’s Educational Fund to establish similar programmes for

the benefit of their people to ensure the development of their areas

and the nation. The statement prayed for God’s guidance and protection for

the Asantehene to enable him continue with his good leadership as

an example not only for Asanteman but Ghana and Africa.
