People of Yefri initiates school project

Yefri (B/A), April 22, GNA – The people of Yefri in the Nkoranza North District, have initiated GHC 25,000 school project to build a girls’ dormitory for a Senior High School that they established in 2003. Mr. Kwabena Amisare, unit committee chairman of the area, disclosed this at a fund-raising harvest, organised by the people to generate money for the project, at Yefri. He said a levy of GHC 2 has been imposed on every male resident and GHC 1 on every female resident whilst non-resident males were asked to pay GHC 5 and non-resident females were expected to pay GHC 3. Mr. Amisare commended the youth for their communal spirit and the “Yefri Nkosuo Kuo” in Kumasi, Accra, Sunyani, Kintampo and Techiman for their contribution to the development of the town. Nana Effah Takyi, a non-resident citizen, commended the people for initiating the project and advised them to unite for the development of the town. The fund raising-rally yielded GHC 360. 22 April 09
