Confusion At The Presidency?

Another communication problem has erupted at the Presidency between the Information Minister, Hon Zita Okaikoi and the Communication Director at the Presidency, Kwaku Anyidoho, similar to what happened between him and Mahama Ayariga when they tried to interpret President Mills Statement:

“I’m the only President.”

The Communication Directorate under the Presidency yesterday invited some selected media houses across the country to meet with President Mills for a briefing on his ups and downs in his 100 days in office.

In an interview with the Accra-based radio station, PeaceFm, to explain why the presidency did not invite all the media houses in the country, Anyidoho said, the presidency intentionally did not invite some media houses that it perceived as unfriendly.

But in a separate interview with Peace FM, Hon Okaikoi criticized Anyidoho’s explanation, saying it is untrue, but yet failed to disclose the reason. It would be recalled that a similar thing happened when the President said “I’m the only President” about a month ago. His spokesperson, Mr Ayariga had told the media that it was a warning to the Minority in Parliament but Anyidoho also came later to turn Ayariga’s explanation upside down.
