Kwahu West exceeds target in polio immunization

Nkawkaw (E/R), April 9, GNA – The Kwahu West Municipal Health Directorate exceeded its target in last month’s polio immunization exercise by 588 children.

The 148 volunteers were able to immunize 18,273 children as against a target of 17,705 children in the three-day polio immunization exercise, the Municipal Director of Health Services, Mrs Julia Nimo, told the GNA at Nkawkaw. She advised parents to continue with the routine immunization of their children against the nine childhood killer diseases at health centres and child health welfare clinics. 09 April 09
