Opoku Ware Old Students donates to school

Kumasi, April 3, GNA – Opoku Ware Old Students Association (OWASS) based in Canada have donated four basket balls valued at GH¢300 to the school.

Two members of the association, Mr Andrew Kwame Appiah and Mr James Aidoo who made the presentation in Kumasi said the donation was their widow’s mite towards the development of basketball in the school. Mr Appiah said it is his hope that the donation will spur students of the school to take keen interest in basketball to win more laurels. Mr Ahmed Owusu Ansah, Assistant Headmaster (Domestic) of the school, who received the donation, thanked members of the Association for their kind gesture.

He said the donation will enhance the school, which is the Ashanti Regional Basketball Champions with their chances in an impending national competition scheduled to take place in June, this year in Accra. 03 April 09
