Accra, March 25, GNA – President Mills will be visiting the Jubilee Oilfield in the Western Region on Friday as part of a familiarization tour of on-going economic development projects.

A statement signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Presidential Spokesperson, on Wednesday said the President would arrive at the Takoradi Air Force Base on Friday morning and proceed to the oil rig by helicopter. It said on the rig President Mills would be shown around and briefed extensively on operations of the rig by Tullow Oil executives, including the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Aidan Heavey, who was flying in specifically for the visit by the President.

The statement said on his return from the oil rig, the President would drive to Cape Coast where a durbar of chiefs and people of the Central Region would be held on Saturday at Victoria Park to welcome and honour him.

On Sunday the Oguaaman Union would host a special luncheon in honour of President Mills after a Church service at the Pentecost Church, near Adisadel College, Cape Coast.
