Coordinating Director collapses at parade

Hohoe, March 6, GNA – Mr William Meledi, Acting Coordinating Director of the Hohoe Municipal Assembly collapsed and was whisked to hospital while taking the salute at the 52nd Independence Parade at the Saint Francis Training Colleges grounds in Hohoe. The ceremony however continued with Miss Juliet Dede Kumah Municipal Director of Education, who was with Mr Meledi to take the salute.

Among the 85 schools which took part in the impressive parade were primary, junior and senior high schools in the private and public sectors, training colleges and contingents of the security services. Also on parade were groups from the voluntary organizations, including the Boys Scouts, Girls Guide and the Red Cross Music for the march-past, which was witnessed by heads of departments, chiefs and assembly members, was provided by the E.P. and Saint John’s brass bands.
