Awutu Bawjiase NPP holds thanksgiving service

Awutu Bawjiase (C/R), March 5, GNA – Mr Isaac Edumadze, former Central Regional Minister, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop blaming each other for the party’s loss in the 2008 elections, but rather work extra hard towards victory in the 2012 general elections.

Mr Edumadze said this at a thanksgiving service by the Awutu Bawjiase Zone of the NPP at Awutu Bawjiase for peaceful elections. He said it was time members of the party forgot the past, corrected their mistakes and put in new strategies that would help them win the next general election.

According to Mr Edumadze, a election was not won on a sliver platter, but required hard work to win more supporters. Mr John Boadu, National Youth Organizer, thanked the people of the area for their support. He called on supporters to tolerate the views of people from the other political divide and ensure peace in their localities.

Mr Solomon Abbam Quaye, immediate past District Chief Executive of Awutu Senya District, asked supporters of the party to wake up from their slumber and start vigorous campaign for the party to win the 2012 elections. Mr Oppey Abbey, former Member of Parliament for the area, expressed his gratitude to the people for their support during his tenure of office. He later presented 30 street lights, costing GH¢150 to the people of the area.
