UDS re-opens today

Tamale, March 3, GNA – The WA Campus of the University for Development Studies (UDS) is to resume academic activities today, March 3. This follows a consensus reached through mediation by a team from the Ministry of Education and the UDS Alumni. The team held separate meetings with the students and the management of the school at Tamale and Wa, at the week-end. Students of the Wa campus are, therefore, expected to report back to the campus for academic work to resume without further delay. Students of the Wa campus of the UDS and the school authorities had a misunderstanding over the removal of some of student leaders from office by the authorities, leading to the close down of the school on Friday.

This was contained in a press release issued to the media in Tamale on Tuesday and signed by the Acting Register, Mr Sylvanus Kuu-ire.
