Some 110 service personnel posted to Asunafo North

Goaso (B/A), Feb. 16, GNA – Some 110 personnel from the National Service Scheme (NSS) have been posted to serve in the Asunafo North Municipality out of which 60 per cent are with the Ghana Education Service. The rest are engaged in other sectors. At an orientation workshop for the personnel in Goaso, Mr. Ahmed Ali Awimbila, Municipal Director of NSS said “we expect a spirit of patriotism, an atitude of selflessness and hard work from you as we the managers of the scheme do our best to make life more comfortable for you”.

Mr. Awimbila said schools in rural areas were the highest beneficiaries and expressed regret that some of the personnel posted to teach in rural communities refuse to do so. Mrs. Elizabeth Desuzar, the Municipal Director of Education, commended the NSS for posting personnel to the GES and that the service personnel would help the GES to fill the numerous vacancies promote quality education delivery in the area.
