British Minister toVisit Ghana

British Foreign & Commonwealth Minister, Peter Hain is to visit Ghana on 28 January and then follow on to Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire. Mr Hain told GRi that he was “very much looking forward’ to his visit to the region”. He said it would be a pleasure to ‘return to Ghana after the recent elections which demonstrated the country’s commitment to democracy’.

This will be Peter Hain’s second visit to Ghana and Nigeria, and his first to Cote d’Ivoire, since becoming a Foreign Office Minister in July 1999. In each country, his programme will include meetings with the main political figures
