ZoomLion to undertake cleanup in Western Region

Takoradi Jan. 16, GNA – Mr. Felix Boankrah, Regional Operations Coordinator of ZoomLion Ghana Limited, on Thursday announced that the Company would undertake cleanup in some parts of the Western Region this month. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Takoradi, Mr. Boankrah Said the exercise would involve the clearing of refuse generated during Election 2008, Christmas and New Year holidays. He explained that the exercise would be in response to an appeal by President John Evans Atta Mills to keep the environment tidy. Mr. Boankrah said the Company has begun spraying major drains in some parts of the region against mosquitoes to reduce the incidence of malaria. He said Zoomlion was managing the affairs of sanitation guards of district assemblies in the region and that the guards who would be provided with uniforms for easy identification would intensify education on sanitation.
