NPP Supporters advised to remain united

He has also commended party faithful for their loyalty to the party, saying that this would enable the NPP to stand firm and remain focused to win the next elections in 2012.

“Come what may, we shall be back,” he assured party supporters and faithful at a mammoth thanksgiving rally held in Kumasi on Monday. The rally began with a route march through the principal streets of the metropolis by thousands of NPP supporters characterized by singing of party songs amidst brass band music and the display of party colours. The Supporters also carried placards with inscriptions such as “Nana we are solidly behind you,” “Another stolen verdict,” and “No change for Nana in 2012”.

They later converged at the Centre for National Culture to climax the occasion.

Nana Akuffo Addo said he was optimistic that the party would return to power in 2012 and expressed gratitude to the supporters for voting for him and supporting him and the party even when the party was defeated. He called on them to do their best to return the party to power in the next election to move the country forward. 13 Jan. 09
