Awutus urged to bury political differences

Awutu-Beraku (C/R), Jan. 10, GNA- A member of the Awutu Traditional Council, Nai Kurabi Clottey III, has advised Awutu citizens to bury their political differences and forge ahead in unity for the speedy development of the area.

Speaking to the Ghana on the outcome of the recent general elections, Nai Kurabi Clottey described it as a divine decision which must be fully endorsed by all Ghanaians, irrespective of their ethnic, religious and political affiliations for smooth and orderly nation-building.

He said that there was no need for witch-hunting as already indicated by President John Evans Atta Mills, reminding people in the area that it was only through unity that much could be achieved to supplement efforts of President Atta Mills at improving the lot of the people. Nai Kurabi Clottey commended both President Atta Mills and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the NPP Presidential candidate, for the mature manner in which they handled the recent dangerous political atmosphere that engulfed the nation. He expressed the hope that the followers of the two major political groups would listen to their leaders and act in such a way that would not put the country’s thriving democracy in jeopardy. 10 Jan. 09
