Conference for Chiefs

Opens in Accra A Four-day conference on “Chieftaincy, Governance and Development” for chiefs queesmothers and traditional leader, opened in Accra yesterday.

The Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana Legon, at the School of Administration, organized it. Nana Dr S. K. B. Asante, a representative of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, addressed the conference.

Some of the issues to be discussed are traditional, constitutional and succession disputes religion and chieftaincy and female leadership.
