Police divert traffic at EC

Accra, Dec. 30, GNA – The Police on Tuesday said the crowd that had converged near the premises of the Electoral Commission had created difficulty in vehicular movement.

A statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kwesi Ofori, Director of Public Affairs, said the police would therefore divert traffic at some locations.

The statement said traffic from King Tackie Tawiah Overpass would be directed to Asylum Down, while motorists going to the Ministries would be diverted towards Alisa Hotel to avoid passing through Ridge roundabout.

It further said traffic from AU Circle towards Ridge Roundabout would also be diverted to pass through North Ridge to link the King Tackie Tawiah Overpass.

Traffic from the Holy Spirit Cathedral moving towards AU Circle and Accra North East would be diverted through Asylum Down to link the King Tackie Tawiah Overpass.
