Fire guts house

Suhum, Dec. 26, GNA – Opanin Abraham Tei, a 78-year-old farmer, and his wife, Mrs Felicia Tei Dgbozi, 65, were injured when the room in which they were sleeping caught fire at Nankese Trotoo in the Suhum/Kraboa Coaltar District on Thursday. Personal effects valued at GH C5, 000 and cash of GH C 1,500 were burnt. The couple, who are on admission at the Koforidua Central Hospital, told the Ghana News Agency that the fire was caused by a lighted candle.
