Special voting peaceful and orderly in Effia-Kwesimintsim

Effiakuma (W/R), Dec. 23, GNA – Special voting in the Presidential Election Runoff has been peaceful and orderly at the Effiakuma Parish Polling Station, in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Constituency. Voters formed a queue at the station by 0600 hours. Voting began exactly at 0700 hours. When GNA visited the polling centre at 1000 hours, Mr Richard Hammond, the Presiding Officer, said 322 people including 69 women had voted. He said those, who had voted included personnel of the Military; Police; Immigration Service; Ghana National Fire Service and the media, as well as electoral officers. Mr Hammond said some 1,500 people were expected to vote at the station.
