Chief of Kaasi passes away

Kumasi, Dec 15, GNA – The death is reported in Kumasi of Nana Owusu Yaw Ababio II, chief of Kaasi, a suburb of Kumasi. He was 74.

Nana Akwasi Boakye, Abontendomhene of Kaasi, told the Ghana News Agency on Monday that Nana Ababio, who reigned for 34 years, died on November 28 this year after a short illness. He said the one-week funeral celebration would be observed on Thursday, December 18 at Kaasi.
