Court to hear Dan Lartey’s suit on December 1

Accra, Nov. 28, GNA – Mr. Dan Lartey, leader of the Ghana Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), on Friday told the Ghana News Agency at the High Court Premises that his suit against the Electoral Commission (EC) would be heard by an Accra Fast Track Court on Monday.

Mr. Lartey instituted the legal action after the Commission had refused to accept his nomination forms as the presidential candidate of the party to contest the presidential election slated for December 7.

His action at the court is therefore seeking an order to compel the EC to accept his nomination forms and allow him to contest the election. The Fast Track Court was to have heard the case on Friday, but it did not sit, hence the adjournment to Monday, December 1. 28 Nov. 08
