Gomoa West Independent candidate promises to tackles problems

Gomoa Enyeme(C/R), Nov 13, GNA – Mr Edwin Abeka -Williams, an independent parliamentary candidate for Gomoa West has stated that he is “the only candidate who can send the people to the promising land”. He said the constituency has gone through slavery for far too long in the areas of education, quality health care, water crisis, bad road network and pledged that he was only one who can deliver them. Mr Abeka-Williams announced these when he addressed a durbar of chiefs and the people of Gomoa Eyeme to climax their annual Akwambo festival at Enyeme in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region. He noted that the people in the area have tasted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliaments (MPs), but yet their living conditions were nothing to write home about.

Mr Abeka-Williams, a computer scientist, told the people that if they voted for him, problems facing them such as education, health, water and roads would be tackled. He stated that another area he would tackle as MP was the promotion of modern farming, adding that farming inputs and finance assistance would be given to farmers as well as fishermen to improve their standard of living. The Independent Candidate stressed that he would look at the falling standard of education in the constituency, when given the nod on at the December 7 polls.

Mr Abeka-Williams, who is also Managing Director of the Capital Express Insurance Company Limited in Accra, called on the people in the Gomoa West to vote for him, adding that he would ensure that jobs are created for the unemployed youth. He stated that the constituency needed a visionary and dynamic MP who could lead them to the promising land that would reduce the abject poverty facing the citizenry.
