Government approves a kindergarten project for Kade

Kade, Oct. 31, GNA – Government has approved the construction of a 171,372 Ghana cedis two stream Kindergarten project under its Golden Jubilee projects for Kade.

Mr Yaw Yiadom-Boakye, Kwaebibirem District Chief Executive who announced this at the assembly’s meeting at Kade, said the contract had been awarded by the Eastern Regional Co-ordinating Council. He said four other school projects in the district under the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) had also been awarded on contract. Mr Yiadom-Boakye said the assembly would undertake the construction of a 74,999 Ghana cedis six-unit classroom block at Abodom Presbyterian Primary school and a 74,102 Ghana cedis six-unit classroom block at Nkwantanang Presbyterian primary school.

The rest are construction of a 89,897 Ghana cedis, six-unit classroom block at Kade Salvation Army school and a 19,749 Ghana cedis four three-seater places of convenience for Abodom and Nkwantanang Presbyterian Primary schools.

Mr Yiadom-Boakye announced that the assembly would furnish Asuom and Kade community libraries and had already provided 320 pieces of furniture to the libraries.

He commended personnel of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency for their contribution to the development of the district and recently approved and awarded on contract installation of six hand washing facilities in six schools. They are Kwamang Presbyterian Primary, Darmang Local Authority Primary and JHS, Anweam Roman Catholic JHS and Asuom Amanfrom Local Authority Primary and JHS.
