Rawlings blames NPP for Ghana’s woes

Agona (Ash), Oct 22, GNA – Former President Jerry John Rawlings has urged the electorates to vote back the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to power, since it has the antidote to the country’s economic woes.

Addressing a rally at Agona at the commencement of his campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, former President Rawlings who is also the founder of the NDC said it was incumbent on the electorate to return the Party to power to continue its developmental agenda from where it left off.

He said the Kufuor administration has plunged the country into a corrupt and injustice state, adding that “Kufuor and his ministers have acquired wealth since 2001 to the detriment of poor Ghanaians”. He cautioned NDC polling agents to be extra careful during the voting and counting of ballots to avoid rigging by the NPP.
