Independent Prez aspirant ready to submit nomination forms

Independent Presidential Aspirant Kwesi Amoafo-Yeboah has provided all the details required for completion of the presidential nomination forms awaiting the filing date of the Electoral Commission (EC).

The two week exercise provided an opportunity for Amoafo-Yeboah to meet with all the regional coordinators and district executives in all the ten regions to deliberate on the next phase of the campaign.

Concluding the exercise in the Volta Region, Kwesi Amoafo-Yeboah commended all the district representatives for their support and urged them to spread the message to win more supporters in their respective communities. He stated that the message should mainly focus on putting Ghana first in all spheres of decision making with no partisan approach.

“Since you are all part of this history making process, don’t let anyone humiliate you but keep on spreading the message of unity and prosperity. What we want to do is to bring all Ghanaians on board for national development regardless of their political affiliations”, stated Amoafo-Yeboah. On the issue of who will partner him as the Vice Presidential Candidate, Kwesi Amoafo-Yeboah disclosed that a press conference will soon be held in Accra to introduce the person. This he said will be done before he finally files his nomination.

Emmanuel Atukpa, the Volta Regional Coordinator noted that the independent presidential candidates’ agenda is really catching up with the people because most of them had become fed up with the partisan nature politicians deal with issues of national interest. He acknowledged that it is easier for anyone to associate him or herself with an independent candidate instead of political parties which act acrimoniously towards each other. He also believed that with the same platform, it is easy to penetrate to regions claimed to belong to some particular political parties.
