Issachar elected Dep. President of AAPAM

Accra, Oct. 9, GNA – Mr Tlohnag Sekhamane of Lesotho and Mr Joe Issachar, Head of Ghana’s Civil Service have been elected President and Deputy President respectively to lead the African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) for the next three year. The two were elected on Wednesday by members at the on-going 30th African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) conference in Accra.

The conference also elected five sub African regional vice presidents, which were: Ms Amah Pepple of Nigeria for West Africa, Mr Titus .M. Ndambuki of Kenya for East Africa, Mr Mutardo Youda for South Africa sub region, Mr John Malam for North Africa, and Dr Filey Sama Doh, Central Africa. AAPAM council members, the conference elected were Professor Stephen Adei of Ghana, Mrs Mary L. Nannono of Uganda, Miss Getrude K. Mpaka of Tanzania, Miss Grace A. Otieno of Kenya and Dr M. L. Wahab of South Africa.

Mr Asante Kissi, Principal Electoral Officer of the Electoral Commission of Ghana conducted the elections.
