Criminals invade Kaneshie lorry station

Accra, Oct. 1, GNA – Commuters using the Kaneshie lorry station have appealed to the Inspector General of Police to help check the invasion criminals to the station to enable them to travel safely. They said the criminals operate 24 hours at the station to the detriment of travellers, especially foreigners. They made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency on Monday at Kaneshie, after the criminals went on rampage, snatching handbags and mobile phones from travellers.

A traveller, one Ewurakua, who resides in Kasoa, said her telephone was snatched from her hand, whiles making a call in broad daylight, and that the culprit managed to escape, despite a hot chase by bystanders. Others who refused to disclose their identities said they realised that their monies had vanished, when they were about to board their various vehicle to their destination. 1 Oct. 08
