Tell the success story of the government-Ayisi Boateng urges groups

Bodomase, (Ash), Sept 30, GNA -A member of the Ashanti Regional Campaign Monitory Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr George Ayisi Boateng, has appealed to members of groups and clubs within the party to be bold and tell the success story of the government to enable Ghanaians appreciate and retain the party in power. He said NPP was the only party in the country’s political history which had, within a short period in government, transformed the socio-economic fortunes of the people and placed the nation on its rightful place in the comity of nations.

“There is the need for all party activists to tell this success story to the people to ensure total victory in the December election to continue its developmental agenda.” Mr Ayisi Boateng made the appeal at separate meetings with polling station executives, members of the Nasara Club, NPP Foot Soldiers Club and other party activists at Bodomase, Kumawu, Dadiese, Akyawkrom and Ejisu as part of his campaign tour of the Sekyere Afram Plains District and Ejisu-Juaben Municipality. He mentioned the National Health Insurance Scheme, the Capitation Grant, School Feeding Programme, free medical care for pregnant women, freedom of expression and economic stability of the nation as some of the success stories the activists could tell the people to win them to the party.

He warned them against voting for independent candidates and said such an act could have serious consequences for the party in parliament. Mr Ayisi Boateng, who is also a Founder Member of the NPP, advised members in the Zongo communities to appreciate the good works of the government and change their voting pattern in favour of the NPP. He advised the youth against acts of violence during their campaigns and urged them to always explain the good works of the government to the people.

Mr Philip Basoah, District Chief Executive for Sekyere Afram Plains, urged party members to close their ranks and work together to retain the Kumawu seat for the NPP. Mr Samuel Asumadu, Presiding Member of the District assembly, said any decision to vote for an independent candidate could affect the fortunes of the party and advised the members not to allow themselves to be influenced by any selfish motive to vote for an independent candidate.
