Denu, Sept 22, GNA – Pascal Kumaza, 41, an Aflao based electrical contractor, has been elected the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) Ketu South parliamentary aspirant. Mr Kumaza had 46 of the 90 votes, beating Mr William Ntsri, 54, an accountant, who had 42 votes. Two ballots were declared invalid. Mr Frank Badohu, an Accra based legal practitioner who was the third candidate, did not show up for the contest. Emmanuel Danso, Ketu-South District Officer of the EC, told the GNA that reasons given by party constituency executive for Mr Badohu’s absence were conflicting, making it prudent for the EC to withdraw its supervisory role. The conference was therefore presided over by a Ketu-North Constituency Executive of the party. Mr Kumaza thanked the delegates and pledged to unite the people for the party’s victory on the basis of the popularity he enjoys in the area. He said his victory would end the neglect of the area in terms of development.
