Church prays for national progress

Odobeng (C/R), Sept. 20, GNA – A Reverend Minister has called on Ghanaians to pursue the truth in order to help move the country forward in development. Reverend Daniel T.K Doe, Founder of New Jerusalem Healing Church at Odobeng in the Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa District, noted that without the truth, it would be difficult for Ghanaians to provide decent livelihood. He made the call in a sermon to end three days of fasting and prayers for the nation. The session was attended by about 150 delegates from three branches of the Church, as well as guest pastors from local churches. Rev. Doe asked for God’s guidance for country’s leadership to enable it pursuit policies that would lead to the growth and development. He tasked Ghanaians to chart a new course of moral and spiritual development and to make every effort to sustain it throughout the coming year. “As Christians, we should not only commit ourselves to church activities, but also to national development,” he added. 20 Sept. 08
