Koforidua, Sept. 16, GNA – Mr Isaac Odenteh, Headmaster of Pope John Senior High School (POJOSS) in Koforidua, has appealed to past students to assist the authorities improve infrastructure in the school to increase intake. He said the school begun with infrastructure for 50 students but now required more dormitories and classrooms for about 2,000 students. Mr Odenteh made the appeal in an interview with Ghana News Agency in Koforidua on Tuesday. He said despite the constraints, POJOSS continued to achieve impressive academic results and in 2007 about 99.7 per cent of the students gained admission into tertiary institutions.
Mr Odenteh appealed to government to provide the school with modern library facilities and classroom blocks to maintain its standards. Established about 50 years ago, POJOSS is one of the most prominent senior high schools in the country and would mark its 50 anniversary in November, this year.
