NGO support girls education in Northern Region

Tamale, Aug. 30, GNA – Maltiti Development Centre, a voluntary non-profit organisation offering educational and vocational support to girls in the Tamale Metropolis, at the weekend provided some 17 girls with materials to enable them complete their education. The items which were from donors in the United Kingdom included a bicycle each, clothes and stationery.

Madam Maggie Williams Choo, Project Manager of the Centre, who presented the materials, said currently about 50 girls aged between seven and 18 years were being taught how to read and write in English, Mathematics, Religious and Moral Education, Social Studies and the option to learn sewing techniques.
