Two friends defile a 10 -year-old girl

Asamankese, Aug. 26, GNA – Richard Agbemadji, 24, and Stephen Lartey, 20, both friends, have appeared before the Asamankese Circuit Court charged with defiling a 10-year-old girl.

They pleaded not guilty and were remanded in prison custody to reappear on September 3.

Police Inspector D. T. Nartey, prosecuting, told the court presided over by Mr Kofi Akrowiah, that the two accused lived in the same vicinity at Akyem Osenase with the victim and her mother. On the night of August 3, they lured her into their room and took turns to sexually abuse her.

The Prosecution said the girl had become truant from school and had for sometime left home too and her where she lived was not known. In her statement to the police she said about four months earlier, the two accused persons started having sex with her on a daily base.

The accused persons in their cautioned statement to the police admitted the offence but stated that they had had sex with the victim only thrice.
