Accra, Aug. 18, GNA – A driver’s mate aged 31 who allegedly defiled his girlfriend’s daughter aged 13 was Tuesday dragged to an Accra Circuit Court.
Twum Barimah, who is said to have taken advantage of the absence of the victim’s mother, and defiled the victim pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lawrence Gbele said the victim’s mother, who is the complainant, and Barimah were lovers.
In July this year, Barimah went to the complainant’s house and met the victim and her junior sister.
Barimah heard that the complainant had gone to Taifa where she might spend the night. He then defiled the victim and warned her not inform anyone about it else she would die. The victim, who bled for weeks after the act, however, informed her mother about her ordeal. 19 Aug. 08
