Basic schools in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District get furniture

Bibiani (W/R), Aug. 15, GNA – The Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Assembly on Friday donated classroom furniture worth 260,330 Ghana Cedis to some basic schools in the district.

The donation, which was made with the help of GETFund, was to improve the standard of the education in the district. The furniture included mono-desks, dual desks, cupboards, teachers’ tables and chairs.

Mr Kingsley Adjei-Manu, the District Chief Executive, said additional 734 school furniture would be supplied to other schools in the district before the next academic year begins Receiving the items on behalf of the schools the Reverend Simon Asige, the District Director of Education, expressed gratitude to the Assembly and management of GETFund for contributing to the development of education in the district.

Reverend Asige appealed to parents to ensure that they provide their children with educational materials to motivate them to study hard.
