Baidoo-Ansah re-elected to contest Effia-Kwesimintsim seat

Anaji (W/R), Aug. 15, GNA – Mr. Joe Baidoo-Ansah, Member of Parliament for the Effia-Kwesimintsim constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was on Friday re-elected to contest the seat. He polled 59 votes to defeat Mr. Fred William Adoku who received three votes. Four other votes were rejected.

Mr. Kojo Acquah, the Regional NPP organiser, appealed to the delegates to remain calm, unite in the interest of the party and work hard to promote the ideas of the party to enable the NPP to the December election.

Mr. Baidoo-Ansah thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him.

Nana Owusu-Ankomah, Regional Chairman of the party, Mr. Philip K. Nkrumah, Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive and other party executives were present.

There was a heavy Police presence.
