Abor Police pursues alleged suspect for stabbing farmer

Abor, Aug. 6, GNA – The Abor police is appealing to the public to help arrest one Kofi Agbeko unemployed, who stabbed Agbleke Agbodzi, a farmer in an argument over fresh maize. The police said Agbodzi, 40, is however “out of danger”, but still on admission at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Abor. The two are resident at Avenorpedo, a source at the Abor Police Station told the GNA.

The source said on July 30, this year, Agbodzi brought some fresh maize from his farm for his nephew who was on a visit and met Agbeko who demanded to know where he got the maize them from. The source said an argument ensued between them and Agbodzi asked Agbeko to follow him to the farm to verify the truth only for Agbeko to stab Agbodzi several times across the body, with a deep cut in his wrist. He said an eye witness intervened and picked Agbeko’s knife, which slipped out of his hands while he bolted. 6 Aug. 08
