President asked to reconcile nation

The Head of Jesus Connection Prayer Centre at Abossey-Okai in Accra, Prophet Fred Kwesi Ansah, has urged President Jerry John Rawlings to convene a meeting of leaders of all the political parties, army and police chiefs, Members of the Council of State and parliamentarians on Wednesday and advise them to vote peacefully.

According to him, he had a revelation from God while praying a week ago asking him to advise President Rawlings to convene the meeting in an effort to reduce tension during and after the December 7 general election.

Prophet Ansah made this known during a three-hour prayer session held on Sunday to ask for a peaceful electioneering atmosphere. He and his congregation offered prayers for President Rawlings, leaders of the various political parties, Electoral Commission, soldiers and the police.

He warned that any party that would create confusion during and after the elections would face the wrath of God.
