Five communities in Adansi South to join national grid

New Edubiase (Ash), July 28, GNA – Mr Francis Dorpenyoh, the Adansi South District Chief Executive, has said that five communities in the district would be linked to the national electricity grid before the end of the year. He named the communities as Adamsu, Franasu-Nkwanta, Nsrankese, Hwetem and Musa. Disclosing this to the Ghana News Agency at New Edubiase at the weekend, the DCE said, the Assembly had already bought 350 low tension poles and was waiting for the contractor to start work. He said the project was one of government’s efforts to open up the areas to attract small-scale industries to provide employment opportunities for the youth.

Mr Dorpenyoh appealed to the beneficiary communities to use communal labour to support the execution of the work to ensure its early completion. He expressed gratitude to the government for executing numerous development projects in the district to improve the living conditions of the people. The DCE also advised various communities, which had benefited from the project to take good care of them.
