Abompe initiates project

Akim Abompe (E/R), July 14, GNA – The Fanteakwa District Assembly is collaborating with the Social Investment Fund to build a three-unit classroom block, a reading room, a staff common room, a five-seat KVIP toilet and urinal for Abompe Salvation Army Junior High School at a cost of 47,920 Ghana cedis. Cutting the sod for work to start Nana Nkansah Addo, Krontihene of Abompe, commended the Fanteakwa District Assembly and Social Investment Fund for sponsoring the project and pledged the community’s co-operation and support for the early completion of the project. Mr Francis Asiedu, the Fanteakwa District Planning Officer, said the district assembly would continue to support projects in the area. The Headteacher of the school, Mr Clement Asare Nkafo, said the school’s enrolment had gone up due to the introduction of the Capitation Grant, School Feeding Programme and provision of teaching and learning materials by the government. Mr Nkafo appealed to Abompe community to assist by offering the communal labour for the early completion of the work.
