Stanbic Bank to save travellers from highway robbers

Kpetoe, July 11, GNA – Stanbic Bank is to open financial service centres at all Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) terminals where travellers could deposit and withdrawal money on arrival at their final destinations. This is to save them from losing such money in case of highway robbery and accidents.

Mr Peter Atsu Gakpey, Personal and Business Banking Officer and Branch Manager of Stanbic Bank at Ho announced this during an interaction with civil servants at Kpetoe District Assembly. He said the bank would also introduce insurance at the bus terminals to serve as a “good defense” for travellers in case of accident on the road especially with vehicles that were not insured. Mr Gakpey said the bank was also helping the GPRTU and individuals to acquire road worthy vehicles to ensure the safety and comfort of the travellers. He urged civil and public servants to take advantage of the bank’s products which include call account, fixed deposits, personal overdrafts and loans, Internet Banking and home Loans.
